The SEB Parkplatz Mission Statement:

To group together a significant variety of the lesser known Special Edition Sales Campaign Beetles irrespective of condition. SEB Parkplatz displayed Beetles should, however, be outwardly, and clearly, recognisable as an example of the Edition that they are representative of.

Most importantly they should be finished with the paint colour of their Edition and be retaining as many of the original style details identifiable to it. We have sympathy for the challenges facing owners trying to restore the Cloth upholstery of many of the Editions and are therefore more relaxed over the use of the alternative material.

We also have sympathy with the fluctuations of fashion and mood over suspension height and would point to Old School Cal’ Look as an acceptable variation from the standard. Wheels should preferably also be in keeping with the original Edition or from Volkswagen’s contemporary accessory range of the period (i.e. Lemmerz Sprintstars, Riviera etc.).

Ratted, slammed and similar overt fashion stances will not be part of the display.
