Although not strictly a special edition the Golden B Motor Cars company in Wayne, New Jersey, produced rebuilt Beetles as the ‘Golden Beetle’. Engines were either 58, 68 or 75hp 1600 units. A 92hp 1.8 engine was also available.
100 cars produced per year of which 25 were Convertibles. Optional extras – Empi 5.5×15 wheels, Uvic AM/FM sound system, sports stripes, sports exhaust system, sports steering wheel.
