The special edition 2009 New Beetle Convertible ‘Blush’ featured an exclusive exterior and interior color not offered on the standard versions. An elegant metallic White Gold paint on the exterior nicely compliments the rich red leather interior, and red convertible top that gives this limited edition its namesake. The ‘Blush’ edition is the only 2009 New Beetle Convertible available with genuine leather seats. Other unique features include a red boot for when the convertible top is down.
Like the New Beetle and New Beetle Convertible the ‘Blush’ edition featured a 2.5L engine that produces 150 horsepower, and 170 lbs.ft. of torque. The edition had a matching Bordeaux Red top – not available on other 2009 New Beetle Convertibles. Its sophisticated color scheme extends to the White Gold Metallic exterior and is completed by the black carpeting, floor mats, and leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob, and brake handle.
The Blush edition featured 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic and 17-inch ‘Kakuna’ wheels. Customers could choose optional Rubber Mats (NBM), and either a 6-CD changer (NCD) or a Premium iPod Adapter (IPA). 1500 vehicles made.
