Designed by artist Scott Seeto for Astro Boy (2009). The movies director David Bowers wanted a futuristic design similar to the VW Beetle for Professor Ochanomizu’s (also known as Dr. Elefun) – Head of the Ministry of Science – personal transportation.
Astro Boy was created/born in Takadanobaba, a neighborhood in Shinjuku Tokyo by Doctor Tenma and later adopted by Elefun.
