A true automotive icon
On October 11th 1953 the first ever Volkswagen Beetle arrived on Australian shores, bringing with it a fond new chapter in the Australian automotive history. Since then, the quirky Beetle has found a special place in the hearts of everyone that it has touched. So, what better way to pay tribute to a true legend than to launch a limited edition range in its honour. The release of 53 retro-inspired limited edition Beetle Classics, complete with uniquely numbered plaques, is our way of celebrating a global icon.
A modern twist
While the original Type 1 Beetle may have remained the inspiration behind the look of the newer models, the Beetle has always been at the forefront of automotive innovation. And with the latest technology like keyless access and start, Bi-Xenon headlights and safety features* such as rear traffic alert and blind spot monitor, the Beetle Classic is no different.
Setting the tone
Visually, the Beetle Classic is the epitome of understated quirk. On the exterior, a retro black roof and matching side decals complement the classic 17-inch ‘Circle’ alloys and chrome mirror shells. As a nod to the original Type 1, the Beetle Classic sees the return of the chrome Volkswagen lettering below the badge. Inside, the two-tone black seats with a deep red trim exude class and style.
